Let us be direct, because most of what is written about NEOM is not. You cannot visit NEOM. There is no public booking, no published rates and no arrival date you can plan around. If you have landed here hoping to book a trip, that is the answer, and everything below is why.
What about Sindalah?
Sindalah, the island resort on the Gulf of Aqaba, held a launch event in October 2024 that was covered as an opening. It was a construction and marketing milestone, not the start of trading. There is still no public channel through which an ordinary traveller can book a room, and no rate card.
Invited guests have been hosted. That is not the same thing as being open, and a page that blurs the two is wasting your time.
And The Line?
Under construction, with widely reported changes to its scope and timeline since the original announcements. Nothing about it is visitable. Renderings are not hotels.
We are deliberately not repeating projected dates here. The dates have moved before, and a travel page that publishes them as though they were fixed is doing the reader no favours.
What to do instead
If the appeal is the Gulf of Aqaba and the northern Red Sea, that coast is genuinely reachable today. Look at:
- The Saudi Red Sea coast — AMAALA and Red Sea Global are open, taking bookings, and served by their own airport.
- AlUla — in the same north-west of the country, and the strongest reason to fly here at all.
- Tabuk and the surrounding region, if you want the landscape without the resort pricing.
If you have business up there
Plenty of people travel to the region for work on the projects themselves rather than as tourists. Tabuk has an airport and the roads north are good. Two signals, and only two. A public booking page with real availability, and a published rate. Until both exist, a project is not open however many articles say it is.
