Riyadh Airport Transfer

Riyadh is the one route on this site we do not put a fixed price on, and it is worth explaining why rather than leaving it looking like an omission.

Why this route is quoted, not priced

Makkah and Madinah are compact. Almost everyone is going to a hotel near the Haram, so one number covers nearly every booking honestly.

Riyadh is not like that. From King Khalid International you might be going to Olaya, to the King Abdullah Financial District, to the Diplomatic Quarter, to an exhibition centre or to a compound out past the ring road. Those are meaningfully different journeys, and a single "airport to Riyadh" price would either overcharge the short ones or lose money on the long ones.

So we quote. Send the flight number and the address, and we come back with a fixed fare, usually within the hour. Once it is confirmed it does not move — not for traffic, not for waiting, not for a longer route on the day.

Five terminals, and why it matters

RUH has five passenger terminals, and they were reshuffled in early 2026. Broadly: Terminal 1 reopened after renovation for selected international flights, Terminals 2 and 3 take the remaining international carriers, Terminal 4 is Saudia's international operation, and Terminal 5 handles domestic flights on Saudia, flyadeal and flynas.

They are separate buildings. A driver waiting at the wrong one is a driver you cannot find.

Give us the flight number and we will work out the terminal. If you know it, say it anyway — the arrangement has changed once already this year and airlines move between buildings more often than you would think.

The metro, honestly

The Riyadh Metro reaches the airport on Line 4, the Yellow Line, running from the airport terminals to the King Abdullah Financial District. It is about 29.6 km, roughly thirty minutes to KAFD, with trains every five to seven minutes. A standard two-hour ticket is SAR 4; a three-day pass is SAR 20.

At those prices it is excellent, and we would rather tell you than have you find out afterwards. Take the metro if you are travelling light, going somewhere the Yellow Line actually serves, and not in a hurry.

Take a car if you have luggage, you are going somewhere off the line, you are arriving late, or you are going straight to a meeting and would rather not arrive having changed trains with a suitcase.

If you are travelling for work

Most of our Riyadh bookings are business rather than pilgrimage, and the things that matter are different.

• Delayed flights. Give us the flight number and we track it. The driver waits for the aircraft, not the schedule, and the quoted fare does not change.
• Invoicing. We can invoice rather than take payment at the kerb, which matters if you are expensing it.
• A corporate account. If your company books regularly, we can set up an account with monthly settlement instead of a separate transaction each time. See corporate accounts.
• Repeat trips. If you are in Riyadh for a week and need the same car each morning, say so — it is cheaper arranged as a block than booked five times.

What to expect

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps with luggage. The car is a private hire vehicle, not a taxi rank pickup, so there is no queue and no negotiation.

Journey time runs about thirty to fifty minutes depending where you are going. Riyadh traffic is heaviest in the late afternoon and around major events — Riyadh Season in particular changes journey times across the city for weeks at a stretch. If you are arriving during a big event, allow more time than the map offers.
