Pre-booked private car (the business choice)

A driver waits in arrivals and takes you straight to your hotel or meeting for a fixed SAR 160–280 per car — no surge, no queue, and your flight is tracked. For a business trip where your time is the expensive part, or when you arrive late with luggage, this is the obvious pick: you step off the plane, meet your driver, and go. Riyadh Metro

The new Riyadh Metro is cheap (from SAR 4) and fast where it goes — check the Darb app for the line and any interchange toward the airport and your destination. It is great value if your hotel is near a station and you are travelling light; it is less convenient with luggage, late at night, or if your destination is a walk from the nearest station. Careem, Uber & taxis

Ride-hailing works well off-peak but surges at rush hour and prayer times, and pickup zones at the airport can be a short walk from arrivals. Airport taxis are available if you have no data, at negotiated or metered fares. Both are fine for a solo traveller with light bags who isn't on a deadline; for a group or a schedule, the fixed-fare car removes the uncertainty.
