Umrah Visa from Egypt 2026: Requirements & Process

Egyptian passport holders are not on the tourist eVisa list, so Umrah is arranged through an approved Umrah operator or the Ministry's Visa Package (available to Egypt among others), which bundles flights, hotel and visa. There is also a useful shortcut for those who hold a used Western visa. Here is the 2026 process and how to choose your route. • Approved operator (Umrah visa) — the standard route, with a Nusuk-registered hotel and transport package (a Booking Reference Number).
• Ministry Visa Package — bundles flights, hotel and the electronic visa in one booking, a convenient alternative to arranging each part separately.
• Used US/UK/Schengen visa — if you hold one that is valid and previously used, you may use the eVisa or a visa on arrival instead, regardless of the eVisa list.

Cost

The Saudi government visa fee is SAR 300 plus mandatory insurance; your total in EGP depends on the operator's package and your flights. Compare approved operators and confirm exactly what's included — hotel proximity, transport and meals move the price significantly.

Requirements

• Passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages.
• Meningitis (ACWY) certificate — required for all Umrah pilgrims.
• Photo, personal details, and a Nusuk-registered hotel via your operator.

Use the Nusuk app for the Umrah permit and free Rawdah appointment once in the Kingdom — your visa is entry, the permit is pilgrimage permission. Then pre-book your Jeddah Airport transfer for a smooth arrival.
