Saudi Arabia's cities serve very different trips. Makkah and Madinah are shaped around the two mosques, with plenty to see beyond them. Jeddah is the Red Sea gateway with a UNESCO-listed old town. Riyadh is the fast-changing capital with Diriyah and the Edge of the World. AlUla holds Hegra, the Kingdom's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taif, Abha and the Eastern Province each offer something the others don't.
