Umrah Visa from Malaysia 2026: The eVisa Route

Malaysian pilgrims have an easy path: Malaysia is eligible for the Saudi tourist eVisa, issued online, allowing Umrah outside the Hajj season — no agency required unless you prefer a package. The eVisa route

Apply online for the tourist eVisa — about SAR 535 including insurance, valid one year, multiple entry, up to 90 days per stay, allowing Umrah and travel anywhere in the Kingdom. How to apply

1. Create an account on the official portal (visa.visitsaudi.com) or the eVisa app.
2. Enter your passport details, a photo, address and travel dates.
3. Confirm the bundled insurance and pay by card.
4. Receive the eVisa by email, usually within hours.

Apply at least a week ahead and make sure your details match your passport exactly to avoid delays.

Nusuk permit

On the eVisa you still book your Umrah permit and free Rawdah appointment in the Nusuk app. Set up your account before you fly so slots are ready when you arrive.

Do you need an agency?

Not necessarily — because the eVisa is so straightforward, most Malaysian pilgrims plan Umrah themselves, booking flights, a hotel by Ḥaram zone and transport directly, which is usually cheaper than a package.
